Why an RV?

Long before I got married, I was very intrigued by the idea of tiny living. I traveled in an RV with my grandparents and my sister and I think that's what triggered the love of an RV and the love of travel. When I met my husband, he told me that he also love to travel. This is where the thought process started. I suggested we check out RV living because I was already completely obsessed with the idea and he loved it.

When I started researching living in an RV and how much this would cost, etc., I found a whole world of people who full-time RV and found a whole new batch of YouTube channels to follow. I became completely hooked on how they live and I couldn't wait to try it out for ourselves.

We began researching the best setup for our daily lives and looking at different vehicles. Initially, we thought a class C would be what we wanted, but if you don't already know, you need to carry special insurance on these types of RVs because they have a motor. In an effort of cutting costs, this wouldn't work for us. The only reason I considered it is because we have 2 dogs and a cat that will be on the road and they would be free to roam the RV while we're traveling. However, we've since combated this problem.

The next thing we consider was a fifth wheel, but this is just too big. We're only two people and we plan to spend most of our time outside actually living. So we came to the conclusion of a travel trailer. I want something with a dedicated bedroom, my husband isn't as picky. But I will be working from home (more on this later) so we need something that allows me to be able to shut the door if I'm working late or early.

We will be hoping to buy a trailer around February and have it renovated by May which will allow us to hit the road after I graduate from college. Please follow along with us!
